Juanita was born and raised in Franklin, TN. She grew up in the 1960s, and has seen many changes. Juanita graduated from Franklin High School, earned her Associate’s Degree in Computer Accounting from Nashville Tech. She began working at Harpeth National Bank, then Citizens Bank, and Third National Bank, which became SunTrust Bank, and on to First Tennessee Bank. In all, she has 35 years of banking experience. She has worked in many positions during her banking career. For her, banking is about helping people. “I listen to their goals and help them figure out ways to reach what they are after. It is gratifying to help someone realize a dream.”
Juanita has served as Board member, committee member, officer, and committee chair of numerous non-profit organizations, such as, Franklin Williamson County Boys & Girls Club, Waves Inc., Franklin Tomorrow, Mercy Children’s Clinic, Franklin Charge, Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, City of Franklin Public Building Authority, Middle Tennessee Electric Corp, and Franklin Housing Authority. She is a past member of the Franklin Breakfast Rotary club; a graduate of Leadership Franklin, Franklin Citizens Police Academy, and Greater Nashville Regional Council Executive Committee.

She has participated in so many leadership opportunities. That she can have a solid foundation of knowledge of things happening in our county and city. She stays informed, so she can inform others. The youth are dear to her heart they are our future. She would like people to see that it is about giving back, and she is a servant-hearted leader. Between work, family, church, and community she stays busy. It is worth it, “God has blessed me with so much, and I get involved because I can and should.”
Juanita is the mother of a son, Trence. She attends Shorter Chapel AME Church in Franklin. Where she is a Steward and Financial Secretary.
