Charles E. Winfrey, Jr is a well-known financial expert in the matters of retirement income planning. Since 1995, he has assisted clients to preserve their capital, increase their income, avoid estate taxes, and protect their estate values. He has advised physicians and business owners approaching retirement, retired teachers and retired AT&T, NES, HCA, Nissan and Vanderbilt employees. His unique retirement and estate planning seminars have been very popular among retirees and pre-retirees. Charles is best known as author of the books “Seven Secrets to Financial Success”, “Rollover Mistakes Retirees Make” and his latest book “Legacy.”
Charles is a graduate of the University of Memphis where he majored in Finance and earned his bachelor’s degree. Charles is also the graduate of the Belmont University’s Certified Financial Planner Program, which required him to take an 18-month course of study and pass 6 rigorous exams proving his expertise in investments, taxes and estate planning. He has used his financial acumen to benefit not only hundreds of Nashville retirees, but also the community, as a member of the 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, Inc and of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Charles is a former member of The Lane College’s Board of Trustees. Charles was named one of the “2013 Top 40 Under 40” by the Nashville Business Journal.
Charles lives with his wife, Nancy, son, Charles III, and daughter, Lauren Grace. Charles’ hobby, when he is not making his client’s retirement secure, is speaking to young people about living and pursuing their dreams.
