Kerry Schrader and Ashlee Ammons are a dynamic minority Mother/Daughter duo, who are in the new wave of entrepreneurs who are re-imagining daily life, creating services that make work and play simpler, better and more satisfying. Without formal tech backgrounds, they’ve been blazing trails in the male-dominated tech startup space with their company, Mixtroz which makes networking experiences more valuable. Following remarkable progress in 2017, Team Mixtroz kicks off 2018 with a bang joining the 2nd Cohort of Birmingham, Alabama’s prestigious Velocity Accelerator and starring on an episode of A&E’s New Investment Series “Rooster & Butch”.
Kerry Schrader, Cofounder/CEO of Mixtroz, holds a BBA, MBA from Kent State University and the SHRM-SCP designation. Kerry has more than 25 years’ experience positively impacting the human assets of large companies including Ford, Alcoa, and Sears Holdings Corporation. Mrs. Schrader has vast experience developing programs that engage workforces with results that increase productivity and bottom-line profitability. Residing in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville, TN, Kerry serves on the Executive Board of the Nashville Technology Council as well as Corporate Treasurer for a Nashville-based investment group. In addition, Mrs. Schrader is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and has volunteered for local charities including Big Brother Big Sisters of Williamson County and Girls, Inc.
Ashlee Ammons, Cofounder/COO of Mixtroz, holds a BA in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Baldwin Wallace University. Notably, Ashlee was hired as the 1st intern to NBA Star LeBron James. Recently relocated to Franklin from New York City, Ashlee established a career as an Events Producer working with an impressive list of A- Listers including Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jay-Z and large brands like Moët Hennessy and Coca-Cola. Much of Ashlee’s passion for Mixtroz comes from her vast knowledge of events and the integration of technology into the landscape in an effort to track analytical data while optimizing consumer experiences. Ashlee serves on the Board of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and is involved with community initiatives such as Black in Tech Nashville and Girls to the Moon.
