John was born and raised in Nashville TN. He has 5 children. John Jr., Waverly(biological), Aaron, Kiara and Myles(step) with his wife Atoya. He attended schools in the Metro Nashville Public School system and attended Nashville State Community College where he received his certification in graphics arts.
He has worked in the commercial printing industry for over 30 years. He has held positions in this field from prepress to vice president of Al’s Printing, LLC. During his time in this field he says the most rewarding part are the relationships he has formed through the years with a diverse group of amazing individuals, organizations and corporations that are still in tact to this day. These relationships have afforded him the opportunity to live out his passion of serving family, friends, clients, strangers and the community on numerous occasions.
He is currently working in sales and marketing in Murfreesboro TN and he is a deacon serving the membership of the Morning Star Missionary Baptist church in Nashville TN, where he has established their outreach ministry and advises several ministries at the church. He has held positions with the Tennessee Minority Supplier Development Council, he has been a diplomat with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. He served as past president of the local Lions Club of Murfreesboro TN and is now slated to become a board member of the Domestic Violence program of Rutherford County. John speaks/trains at several events in Davidson and Rutherford County and also at Morning Star.
John is currently working on a business plan to launch Grace Graphics, an online print/marketing platform that enables small businesses to enjoy the results of big business branding and media with their existing budget.
John enjoys spending time with his family, ministry work and serving the community.
