Lynn Maddox serves Vanderbilt as a Program Director for the department of Community, Neighborhood, and Government Relations: sustaining Vanderbilt’s relationships with local, county, state, and national communities.
Working with various colleges, universities, and not-for-profits Ms. Maddox has over twenty years of experience in management, development, business relationship building, sales and marketing, promoting organizations, competitive market positioning, and team leadership.
Active in community service, she serves on the Metro Historical Commission; Williamson Inc. Women in Business Board and Business Advocacy Board; Franklin Tomorrow Board of Directors; Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce Board; Nashville City Cemetery Association Board; Leadership Middle TN Advisory Board; TN Local Food Summit Board; and serves the Natchez Trace Parkway Association as Secretary, and the Friends of Fort Negley Board as Vice Chair. Past service includes Vanderbilt Woman’s Club; Pi Beta Phi Fraternity; Daughters of the American Revolution; Christmas Village, Inc; West End Home Foundation; TN Preservation Trust; Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center; and Travelers Rest Historic Plantation and Museum.
A Kentucky native, Ms. Maddox earned the B.A. in Communications from Newcomb College of Tulane University and the M.S. in Public Service Management from Cumberland University. She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee.
