Scott Lindsey is currently Executive Director of Employee Relations for Metro Nashville Public Schools. In that capacity he is responsible for the following: employee/labor relations, EEO related investigations, sexual harassment investigations, supervision of the workplace safety office, background checks, and training district leaders on how to execute all management functions pertaining to employee relations.

He has also been the lead investigator in all of the district’s high-profile investigations. Mr. Lindsey has significant experience in providing written case summaries and making sound recommendations to management in employee relations matters. He is also noted for his leadership skills and strategic thinking.

In addition to his duties while at MNPS, Mr. Lindsey remains active in the community via his involvement in politics. He is the social and political action chairman for the Nashville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. In that role, Mr. Lindsey created and held the chapter’s first ever “Kappas and Candidates” mixer. This was an event that allowed candidates on the May 2018 ballot to speak about their campaign platform and meet citizens of Davison county in a relaxed setting. Mr. Lindsey is currently planning the next mixer for summer 2019 as there will city council races in Nashville at that time. Mr. Lindsey is also a political consultant and most recently was chief strategist to Judge Rachel Bell’s campaign. He has worked with other candidates both in Nashville and his native Chattanooga. He also has a political closed Facebook page called “People and Politics-Closed Group” which has become a message board and discussion group for local politicos.

• Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
• Graduate of Tennessee Government Management Institute (TGMI)
• Graduate of Leadership Chattanooga and member of curriculum committees. Also, facilitator for Leadership Chattanooga’s training on diversity in.
• Past Board member of Tennessee Personnel Management Association, a statewide organization dedicated to improving Human Resources practices for local governments. Chairman of planning committee for organization’s conference.
• Selected by the Chattanooga Times/Free Press as one of Chattanooga’s “40 Influential People Under 40”.

• Past Polemarch of the Chattanooga Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi and Past Vice-Polemarch of the Nashville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi
