Dr. Fallon Wilson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Black in Tech Nashville which seeks to curate  and connect a diverse black tech ecosystem. She is the former Assistant Vice President of  Institutional Advancement as well as the former Director of STEAMS (​Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Social Justice) at American Baptist College. As the Director  of STEAMS, in April 2016, Dr. Wilson inaugurated Nashville first Senior Day where the Chief  Education Officer of Google, Jaime Casap, spoke to 300 MNPS high school graduating seniors  about social justice, technology, and solving world problems.Then in April 2017, Dr. Wilson hosted the second Senior Day with top African-American  engineer from Snapchat, Justin Washington, who spoke about tech and inclusion to 1,500 high  school seniors representing all of Metro Nashville Public High Schools. In addition to her  professional work, Dr. Wilson is a member of the Alignment Nashville’s Learning Technology  Team, Metro Nashville Public Schools’ STEAM Advisory Board, Ray of Hope Community Church  Council, Pencil Board Member, and member of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Report  Card Committee and Prosperity Leaders.    

In 2016, Dr. Wilson has been named by the Tennessean and the Center for Nonprofit  Management as one of the top nonprofit leaders in their 30s. Dr. Wilson also co-chairs with  the Chief Information Officer of the City and the CEO of the Nashville Technology Council, ConnectedNashville: A Vision For A Smarter City,​ which is the City of Nashville’s Smart City  working group. Recently, Dr. Wilson was selected by the International Sociey Of Technology In Education​ to receive the 2017 Digital Equity Award which is given to a national leader seeking  to address of issues of digital equity. Dr. Wilson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Black in Tech Nashville which is a tech membership  organization of 250 African-American technologists who are both traditional and public  interest technologists. In August 2017, Black in Tech Nashville organized and hosted  Nashville’s first city-wide 2017 Tech Inclusion Forum which brought together 200 plus tech  leaders, community tech groups, educational leaders, civic leaders, and knowledge economy  partners to discuss building a thriving tech inclusive ecosystem in Nashville. Recently, Black in  Tech Nashville was selected by the Nashville Technology Council as a finalist for 2018 Nashville  Technology Council’s Diversity Game Changer Award and featured in Black Enterprise as one  of five black tech ecosystem builder organizations in the US. Given her tech vision for  Nashville, Dr. Wilson was voted by city leaders and Channel 2 News/ABC as one of eight  Women to Watch in Nashville.  Dr. Wilson has a BA from Spelman College and a MA and PhD from the University of Chicago.  As a self-proclaimed publicinteresttechnologist, she spends her time discussing issues of  race, gender, faith, and digital equity.
