Kearstin Patterson is vice president of creative services for HCA Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services delivering approximately five percent of all inpatient care in the United States with more than 27M patient encounters each year. With HCA since 2013, Patterson leads a large team of award-winning creative professionals responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of creative solutions across internal and external platforms, including, digital and traditional, social, video/photography, events and the associated creative content and messaging.
Prior to HCA, she served as the senior director of corporate communications for BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly traded medical device company. During her eight years at BioMimetic, she was responsible for the company’s corporate communications function, including all aspects of public relations, investor and research analyst relations, internal communications and community relations. She also played an integral role in the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2006 and served on the corporate leadership team as the company’s senior communications strategist. Previously, Patterson held management communications positions for various public and private companies, including National Coal Corporation and Shop At Home Network, Inc., part of E.W. Scripps Media Company.
Patterson has more than 17 years of experience across a variety of sectors and has won numerous awards in the field, including the Public Relations Society of Nashville’s Mercury Award, which is presented annually to the top, young public relations professional in Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Business Journal’s Forty under 40 award and the Chamber of Commerce’s Nashville Emerging Leader Award. She has served on the boards of many non-profit and industry organizations, including Leadership Healthcare, Safe Haven Family Shelter, Nashville Symphony Crescendo Club and the Iroquois Steeplechase, and has volunteered for numerous non-profit fundraising events and projects. Her personal interests include traveling, politics and recreational sports, as she has volunteered for several national and local political campaigns and competed in triathlons, marathons and adventure races. Patterson is also a member of several local sports clubs in the area and coached an adult recreational soccer team.
