The Director of Sales & Marketing at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel, Christina Dallas Jones, began her Nashville career as a server at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. She quickly began working her way up within Food & Beverage, being promoted to bartender and then In-Room Dining Captain. But Christina was drawn toward Convention Services and decided to change her career direction. After several years in CS at Opryland, Christina went to work at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville on Broadway & 4th as a Sales Manager where she made many strong connections within Meeting Professionals International. Given the opportunity to open her own restaurant and event center, Christina moved to Middle Missouri to open The Heart of Nashville, a Nashville-themed restaurant and event space just outside Columbia, MO. In less than two years, Heart of Nashville was named to the Top 15 themed restaurants in Missouri and also won “Best Fried Chicken in the State” (Rural Missouri Magazine) for Christina’s Nashville Hot Chicken recipe. Christina was lured back to the city she loves by an associate she had previously worked with at Opryland who was then at The Hermitage Hotel, where she accepted the position of Catering Sales Manager. Last year Millennium Maxwell House Hotel invited Christina to join their team as Director of Catering and most recently she was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing. From server to the Director of Sales & Marketing at a full service hotel, Christina is a prime example of how Nashville is a great city for women who aspire to succeed in business.
